Republican governor Bill Weld is calling Trump’s attempt to interfere with US elections “treasonous” and reminding people that the penalty for treason is death. “Talk about pressuring a foreign country to interfere with and control a U.S. election. It couldn’t be clearer, and that’s not just undermining democratic institutions. That is treason. It’s treason, pure and simple, and the penalty for treason under the U.S. code is death. That’s the only penalty.”
While I think the death penalty is a bit extreme, I would support imprisonment for life in a maximum security prison. Personally, I wouldn’t even mind if he wanted to brand it. #TreasonousTrump #TrumpCrimeFamily#Impeach45 #LockHImUp
