The Pentagon says there are currently a combined 5,000 active-duty and National Guardsmen involved in Puerto Rico. This may seem like a lot, but we deployed 22,000 troops to Haiti in 2010 after the Earthquake and 24,000 troops to Japan after the 2011 Tsunami. Why are there just 5,000 troops in Puerto Rico when it is filled with over 3 million American citizens? And what does Trump do – he takes to Twitter to remind Puerto Rico of it’s massive debt, tweets about the NFL, and makes a big push for new Tax Cuts.
